Under Jerry’s guidance you will learn 3 different ways to draw and paint boats using the FIGURE 8, SILVER DOLLAR, & RECTANGULAR techniques. He will emphasize the emotional use of color and creating color harmony. Additionally, this class will work on developing the structure of houseboats and water reflections using dry brush and wet into wet techniques.
Jerry will be giving a demonstration on Saturday, January 21, 1:00 PM at the Society of Western Artists Gallery.

This workshop will help open your eyes to new methods of painting that will add excitement and drama to your paintings. Students of all experience levels will feel at home in this hands-on exploration of age-old traditional oil, water-soluble oils, pastel or acrylic.
AUGUST 4 & 5 Saturday, Sunday 9:00 - 4:00 pm "STREET SCENES AND FLOWERS" Beginners - Advanced $150 SWA Members $200 Non Members
Open to all levels of painting experience. This workshop will focus on giving you a solid foundation for creating paintins on your own by using street scenes and flowers. Emphasis will be on understanding properties of pigments, color/value, composition, edges, etc.
Claire will be giving a demonstration on Saturday, June 16, 1:00 PM at the Society of Western Artists Gallery.
TERRY MIURA 2-Day Plein Aire Oil Workshop (Pastel Painters Welcome)
September 29, 30 Saturday, Sunday 9:00 - 4:00 pm $300 SWA Members $350 Non Members Beginners to Advanced
Join Terry for this plein air workshop on location around the Peninsula. Terry will provide demontrations and lots of individualized attention to the students. Additionally, students will receive a fully illustrated, 80 page book to accompany the workshop.
